Hey, I'm Ashley!

Teacher-in-training. Special education grad. Follower of Jesus. If you told me a few years ago that God would send me overseas after graduation, I wouldn't have believed you — I had a solid ten-year plan!

But two summer mission trips later, He completely reshaped my heart. Now I'm taking a step of faith into campus ministry with SOON Movement — and I'd love for you to come along.

why I'm going ♡

My Vision

I believe every student on every campus deserves the chance to hear the gospel. God's heart is for the nations — and college students are the future leaders, teachers, and parents of those nations.

My vision is to see students won to Christ, built up as spiritual leaders, and sent out to transform their communities — the same rhythm God used through my ministry at NYU, carried wherever He leads.

A step of faith I never planned to take

Ashley Kim

NYU · Early Childhood & Special Ed

Hi! My name is Ashley Kim and I graduated from New York University with a bachelor's in Early Childhood and Special Education. As a recent graduate, I never really questioned what I'd be doing afterward — I had a pretty solid ten-year plan, and international missions with SOON Movement was not in those plans.

God first stirred my heart for international missions during a summer mission trip my sophomore year. It was there I saw that the harvest was plentiful — people desperately yearned for the gospel but didn't have the resources to hear it. The next summer, God revealed that the laborers were few: the missionaries I served alongside had powerful vision and passion, but were stretched thin by the lack of manpower.

God continues to change my heart to see that He is calling me to the nations, not a specific place — and I've said yes.

"Where I am now is not where I planned to be. But I wouldn't want to be anywhere else but in this very step of faith — and I want to invite you to take it with me."

my story so far…

Two summers, one calling

Sophomore Year

God showed me the harvest is plentiful.

The Lord convicted me to surrender my summer plans and go overseas for His namesake. I saw people who desperately yearned for the gospel but didn't have the resources to hear it — and God placed a deep burden in me for what is eternal.

Junior Year

God showed me the laborers are few.

The missionaries I served alongside had such powerful vision and passion, but were stretched so thin due to lack of manpower. I couldn't unsee it. I became increasingly certain that God's heart is for every nation to hear of Him.

After Graduation

God is calling me to the nations — not a place.

This was never in my ten-year plan. But God continues to change my heart to see that He is calling me to His nations, wherever that leads — and I've said yes.
